Reading Responses Assignment

DIRECTIONS

For each of the major readings in the class, prepare a 2+ page responses. Hand in a copy of these notes in class as indicated; collect in Teaching Notebook.

Reading Responses should be single-spaced with 1.5 inch margines. Please use Times or Times Roman (12 pt.) as a font.

 

GOALS:

Your reading responses should not summarize the readings. Rather, they should accomplish the following tasks::

• Connect the readings to observations on and reflections about your tutoring experience.

• Connect Alvermann with Mahiri, Finders, AUdio/Video project. (Point to specific quotations on specific pages.)

 

HINTS FOR SUCCESS

• Do not summarize the readings.

• Focus on key terms or key quotations that help you connect the readings to your tutoring experiences in meaningful ways.

• Make connections between your own tutoring observations/reflections and the readings.
