NorthWoodsMOO
The
NorthWoodsMOO is the Upper Peninsula's virtual, online
meeting place for educators and students interested in
innovative and collaborative approaches to professional
development,
communication technologies, teaching, and learning. It
is used by faculty and graduate students for teaching,
as well as by undergraduate students and educators from
throughout the Upper Peninsula. During the past summer,
the NorthWoodsMOO was used to host a virtual follow-up
week of activities and discussions for an Electronic Communication
across the Curriculum institute K-12 educators and their
6th through 11th grade students. The MOO provided an ideal
forum for participants to continue their work with technology
training, professional development and curriculum support.
