Community Literacy Journal

The Community Literacy Journal is edited and produced in the Humanities department by Editor Michael Moore with the assistance of graduate and undergraduate students. Participating students have opportunities to contribute to the journal's design, editing, and production.

The journal has been nominated for Best New Scholarly Journal for 2008 by the Council of Editors of Learned Journals (CELJ). For guidelines on writing for CLJ, visit the journal's ongoing call for papers.

Pank: New Writing & Art

Pank: New Writing & Art  is published annually in Michigan Tech's Department of Humanities. Edited by M. Bartley Seigel and staffed by Michigan Tech students, Pank is a nationally recognized magazine publishing the best in contemporary poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, visual art, points beyond and in between, from established voices and from those still waiting to be heard. Blue Ice Anthology

Blue Ice Anthology, a literary magazine sponsored by the department and circulated mainly within the Michigan Tech University community, publishes literary nonfiction essays written by graduate students in the department's Rhetoric and Technical Communication Program. Once graduate student writers have completed their essays, undergraduate students in the department's Scientific and Technical Communications Program design and produce the magazine during the spring semester. Published since 1987, Blue Ice has an average press run of 500 copies and currently appears every other year. For more information, eMail advisor Randy Freisinger.
