Blair Orr is a professor of Forestry, Coordinator of International Programs in Michigan Tech’s School of Forest Resources and Environmental Science, and Director of Michigan Tech’s Loret Miller Ruppe Peace Corps Master’s International Program in Forestry. He served for three years as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Lesotho and has also worked in Somalia (Lutheran World Relief), Niger (Volunteers in Overseas Cooperative Assistance), and Mexico (Universidad Veracruzana). He teaches FW5770 Rural Community Development and Planning Analysis, one of the two core courses required of all Michigan Tech Master’s International students. His international research focuses on human dimensions of tropical forestry and agriculture.
