Rose Rao’s research is in international technology transfer, agricultural sustainability, appropriate technology, globalization, and risk communication within the context of international trade. Her current interest is the ways in which the adoption of appropriate technology solutions, both locally and globally, can lead to higher sustainability. To this end, she studies the impact of imported technology on the agricultural sector in the developing world.
