Undergraduate Study
Applying to the Humanities Majors
Enrolling in one of the three Humanities undergraduate majors at Michigan Tech is simple, whether you're enrolling in the university for the first time, transferring from another school, or transferring from another major. First, ensure you satisfy the core requirements below. Second, make sure to contact the advisor for your particular major for assistance with navigating any additional requirements in the application process:

Newly Enrolling Students
If you're entering Michigan Tech for the first time (from high school or as a returning or non-traditional student, for example), you can register in Humanities while applying to Michigan Tech through one of the following methods:
- Filling out and submitting an online application
- Printing and mailing your own paper copy of the application
- Requesting a mailed application
Although applying online is free, all paper applications require a processing fee (see application). When applying, make sure to specify your choice of major. All paper applications and other materials should be sent to:

Transferring From Another University
If you're transferring to Michigan Tech from another school, you'll need to fill out an application using one of the three methods listed just above under "Newly Enrolling Students" (above). Transfer students must also submit the following to the Michigan Tech Admissions office:
- Official transcripts for all other colleges attended
- Official high school transcripts or GED test results—not required of students who have earned at least an Associates' Degree (A.A.) or higher
Transferring From Another Major
Student transferring to a Humanities major from another major at Michigan Tech should first contact the advisor for their intended major to ensure they satisfy any additional admissions requirements.
