My name is Emily Mantila and I am a third year Biomedical Engineering major at Michigan Tech. I am originally from Ishpeming, Michigan, which is about an hour and a half southeast of Houghton. Both of my parents and older sister went to school at MTU, so my decision to come here was pretty easy. I am extremely indecisive, so I didn’t (and still don’t) know exactly what I want as a career when I graduate. However, I knew I wanted to go to a great school and choose a major that would provide many options for the future.
