"Choices" - Advice from a Returning Writer

Since the first day of my collegiate career, I decided that my experiences would much resemble those from high school-difficult at first, but successful in the end. To my surprise, as most, college is filled with a plethora of choices that must be determined by you and you alone. There aren't any parents who are instantly available to make the decisions for you, nor should there be. I was faced with choices of deciding what was the best option food-wise to eat in the dorms, if I wanted to be physically healthy, if I was really going to devote as much time as was needed for my studies, if I was going to stay in a long distance relationship, if I was going to visit my family every weekend, and the list goes on of course. I am grateful for the experiences I've had at Michigan Tech, and for the friends I've made and the knowledge I've acquired.
