If you are trying to fund a trip to CIWIC, here are some suggestions:

  • Describe to your department chair the "teaching with technology" workshops you will do when you come back from CIWIC—if the department helps fund your trip.
  • Ask your department chair to ask your dean to provide matching funds.
  • Ask your grad school to match your department's and your dean's funds.
  • Ask if your grad school provides scholarships for professional development or travel.
  • Your local K–12 school district might provide funding if you agree to give a series of "teaching with technology" workshops when you return from CIWIC.
