Submission Guidelines 1. Blue Ice accepts submissions of poetry, prose, and visual art from currently enrolled Michigan Tech students, undergraduate or graduate. 2. All submission must be original and previously unpublished. 3. Max length submissions is 5000 words for prose, six poems, and/or 6 pieces of visual art. Submit in one genre only at a time. Wait for a reply before submitting again. 4. All submission should be your best work, copy edited, and free of spelling, grammatical, and mechanical problems. Work riddled with the above will be ignored. Send only your best, most polished work. 5. Send your submission via email to blueice@mtu.edu, subject “submission”. Include your preferred contact information and a biographical note (no greater than 50 words) in the body of the email. For visual art, attach submission as a high resolution image file. Writing should be attached as an .rtf or .doc file. 6. Payment upon publication is 2 free copies. 7. Allow an enormous amount of time for a response - we’re annual after all. Email the editors at blueice@mtu.edu if you have questions or concerns.
