This is a short tour of the small park in my hometown. The name of my hometown is Battle Creek Michigan. The day was quite cloudy but since I was only home for christmas vacation I had to take them that day or not at all.
The first picture is as you are walking up to the Sojourner Truth Statue. The was a African American woman in the last century whole help lead the fight to flee the slaves in the south. There were some activities in the county which helped lead to the heightened tensions between the North and the South just before the Civil War.
This monument is very old. There were trees covering it when I was a small child. From looking at it I think it is a memorial to the Battleship USS Maine. The picture isn't too good but it is the only one that turned out sort of okay.
The final picture is of the founder of the Kellogg's Cereal Company. This is his hometown too. The company was started in the city and was head quartered here ever since.
