VCR (pronounced like how it's spelled):
This game can be played by an indefinite amount of actors, and is similar to "Three Styles" in its construction of a scene that is "re-played" to a certain extent. It relies on focus and memory.
The audience will suggest a "where" for the performers, who will then start creating a scene. One performer, the "remote control" (chosen ahead of time) will stand off to the side or sit with the audience and call out a few common VCR commands in strategic places in the scene. They are:
This game can be a lot of fun if the "remote control" does a series of "Rewind! Forward!" around a particulary funny piece of dialogue or motion between the players. For additional complexity, this game can be modified to include "Fast Forward," "Speed Rewind," "Pause," and, possibly, "Eject." Let us know how to do an "Eject," if you get the chance, okay?
