PROPS:
This is an exercise dealing in characterization around props. The director provides the students with a variety of props and costumes, and allows the students to choose from them freely and develop a character around them. They should be asked to move through space at their own space and should only be asked to interact after they have had a chance to create their characters. They should be allowed to interact for a time, and then be asked in front of the class, on an individual basis, to introduce themselves and tell a little bit about who they are, preferably in the first person.
