This site was created by Jonathon D. Colman for the MTU Troupe. It's purpose is to promote awareness (beyond the confines of Michigan Tech) of the MTU Troupe, it's talented members, and improvisational theatre in general. We'd also like to use this page as a tool for learning more about improv from others around the globe through electronic communication. The primary construction, drafting, and revision of this site took place from March, 1996 - May, 1996. This homepage was built exclusively on a Power Macintosh Performa 6214 (Silmarillion) using the following applications:
|
A d o b e P h o t o s h o p 3 . 0 . 4
for all the image-processing,
colorful typography, and
graphic design.
N e t s c a p e 1 . 1 N / 2 . 0
for construction and testing and
proprietary tags that helped me
be more efficient, effective,
and c r e a t i v e .
S i m p l e T e x t 7 . 0
for hard-coding the
HTML. Woo, woo.
Z T e r m 0 . 9
for drawing some e-mail tidbits
from the Troupe mailing list.

Travis Carpenter, Amy Furr, Jennifer Witer, Tuuli Leppanen, and the Troupe helped out with testing and constructive criticism while Chad Lukkarila and Kris Gruba provided a 100-minute long tape of Cry on Cue, the Jeyds, and other Houghton local music favorites! |

Jonathon D. Colman is a senior in Scientific and Technical Communication in the Department of Humanities at Michigan Tech and will graduate in May, 1997. He is also finishing up his second year in the Troupe. He has worked in technical communication and WWW design in numerous positions at Michigan Tech and also at IBM in Rochester, Minnesota (even though he hails from Ann Arbor, MI). Jon is the current maintainer of these pages and you can reach him at jdcolman@mtu.edu.
It should be noted that he loves this WWW/Typography/Design stuff Jon learned his WWW skills from Karla Kitalong, Anne Wysocki, David Brus, Michael Murphy, Cayce Will, and Edan Idzerda, primarily. These folks are mental giants with enough intelligence and wisdom to rule a small planet! Luckily for the rest of us, they're very friendly and wouldn't hurt anyone. Much. Jon owes his playfulness, love of laughter, and improv skills directly to Sue Stephens and that brave and stalwart improv ensemble of infinite uncanny adventures, the Troupe! "Praise them with great praise!" |
