Kevin Cassell
Graduate Teaching Instructor

Thanks for dropping by my professional website! A little bit about me: I'm currently a Graduate Teaching Instructor in the Humanities Department at Michigan Technological University, where I teach courses in multimodal composition and in scientific and technical writing. I also serve as Assistant Coordinator of Composition. I'm enrolled in the doctoral program in Rhetoric and Technical Communication.

In addition to Michigan Tech, I've taught at the University of Maine, Northeastern University, the Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University, and the University of New Mexico.

Internationally I taught at Amakusa Senior School in Kumamoto, Japan; the Fiji College of Advanced Education; the Colegio Internacional de Caracas in Venezuela; and Inlingua International Language Center in San Jose, Costa Rica.

My primary teaching areas include composition and expository writing, technical and professional writing, English as a Second Language, and American literature.  I've also taught public speaking, film theory and criticism, history of ideas, dramatic arts, introductory linguistics, and rhetoric and communication.

I hold a BA in English (1986) from the University of Maine at Fort Kent and an MA in English (1989) from Northeastern University in Boston. My anticipated date of completion for my Ph.D is 2013.
