I teach undergraduate courses in written, spoken, and visual composition, and in scientific and technical communication.  In addition, I serve as Assistant Coordinator of Composition (UN 2001), work as a reviewer and copy editor for the Community Literacy Journal, and participate in variety of professional development activities.

University of New Mexico
Lecturer in English (Albuquerque Main Campus 2005-7),
Director of Lower Division English (UNM Taos, 2002-5).
Taught a variety of undergraduate courses in writing and literature, both core and elective, including online, hybrid, and web-enhanced classroom courses. Directed the lower-division English program at the Taos branch college (UNM-Taos) and taught in that program.

Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University
Lecturer in Liberal Arts (1998-2001)
Taught undergraduate courses in the Liberal Arts Division. Coordinated the Bridge Program, an alternative freshman-year curriculum.

Taught composition and introductory literature courses through the Division of Continuing Education in Arts and Sciences.  Co-edited brochure on degree programs for adult learners in Humanities and related liberal arts curricula.

Costa Rica: Inlingua International Language Center
English Language Trainer (2006-7)
I taught English levels 3 and 4 to non-native learners of English in both private and public classes, including online instruction.  I also taught modules (short classes) including “Business Writing” and “Meetings.”

Venezuela: Colegio International de Caracas
Instructor / Director of Theater Arts (2001-2)
Taught classes in dramatic arts, 6th-12th grade levels in conformity with International Baccalaureate (IB) and Middle Years IB Program Curriculums.

Fiji College of Advanced Education
Lecturer / Teacher Trainer (1995-1996 U.S. Peace Corps Assignment)
Served in a lecturer capacity and revised, developed, and taught a wide range of tertiary-level courses through the schools of both Social Science and Language and Literacy.

Japan: Amakusa Senior Secondary School
Adjunct Language Teacher (1991-1993)
Taught year-round at an academic high school with weekly visits to commercial, oceanographic, and agriculture secondary institutions; developed ESOL learning programs in both writing and conversation; attended and presented at several regional and national conferences of English language teachers sponsored by the Japan Exchange of Teachers Program.
