To Move Wild Laughter in the Throat of Death: An Anatomy of Black Humor
William Holtz, Director Employs rhetorician Kenneth Burke's dramatistic pentad to generate a rhetoric of Black Humor. Focuses on contemporary American novels of Friedman, Heller, Kesey, Elkin, Barth, Percy, Pynchon, and Vonnegut.
