The chapter was established in 1971, which should give it a rich history. Unfortunately, most of the chapter's past has been lost to recent members because the chapter was inactive for a few recent years. However, some of the chapter's accomplishments have been revealed. First, Communiqué, the alumni newsletter was first written in 1979 and won awards from the international STC competition in the years 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, and 1989. In the mid-1990s, this Chapter was the second biggest chapter in the nation. We've won numerous awards:
