The Language of Dominance
If part of the work of the Students’ Right resolution was to make clear the dominance of the white, middle-class with regard to language attributes, then that work is extended by Selfe and Selfe into the technology of the interface:
"When students from these groups enter the linguistic borderlands of the interface, in other words, they often learn that they must abandon their own culture or gender and acknowledge the dominance of other groups."
