The Ethnogs

The Ethnogs premiered an original Ethnography Division Anthem at the NCA Ethnography Preconference in Chicago. This appearance was part of the 2007 Ethnogs Reunion Tour, the first time the members of this legendary band have performed together since their break-up in the 1980s. The band began performing in the late 1960s and recorded such hits as “Train to Purgatory,” “Gimme Culture,” “Eatin’ Alive by Love,” “Spreading the Love,” and “The New Guinea Swamp Blues.” To celebrate the Ethnogs Reunion Tour, the band invites their roadies, managers, fans, groupies, fellow musicians, and especially the Veiled Woman to join the party. They are collecting stories about experiences with the band and would like to hear from everyone. Send your Ethnog tales to gorybateson@ethnog.com.
