Where did you first learned to make pasties? and from whom?

-30 Years ago in the building on Main Street Hancock.  Lived there and needed a job so started making Pasties.

 

How long have you been making pasties?

-30 years

 

How many pasties do you think you have made?

- about ½ million!

- 50 day X 6 days a week X 52 weeks X 30 years = 468,000(min.)

 

What is the greatest number of pasties you have made at one time?

-1000 a day for a 5000 pasty order for MTU!

 

How many pasties has one person been able to eat at one sitting?

2, a BIG man ate two in one sitting, without leaving a crumb at the Keliva!

 

Comment on the prices of the pasty(from past to present).

-30 years ago they were $.79 to $.80

-today $2.95(just raised last spring from $1.95)

 

Do they ever get tired of making/eating the pasties?

-No, I eat and make them everyday!

 

What do people seem to like to put on their pasty?

-ketchup

 

What is the weirdest thing you have ever seen put in/on a pasty?

-Gravy? That is weird!

 

What would you like to see included in an online information center on the pasty?

-Just make it accessible to everyone!
