Calling all friends of CIWIC!

20th Anniversary of Computers in Writing-Intensive Classrooms (CIWIC)

Call for Papers, Speakers, and All Interested in Adventure:

Come to Houghton and let’s have a party!! The year 2005 marks the 20th anniversary of CIWIC, and we are planning a celebration in Houghton. We would like to welcome back all past attendees of CIWIC and all of our friends who have spoken at our summer institute over the years.

We will, of course, be holding our regular sessions for participants, but we are also planning to offer a series of special optional sessions—led by past participants and past speakers and attended by whomever cares to come—on topics of interest to the field of computers and composition. Come and tell us what you are working on, what you are doing in your classes, what issues are important at your institution. We are also orchestrating a series of special parties and celebrations during the two weeks of June 1 to June 14, 2005.

So, come and join us for the anniversary party! We offer a great setting for a reunion; lots of time for partying with friends and colleagues; kayaking and canoeing on beautiful slate blue lakes; marvelous Northwoods scenery; mountain biking on shady green logging trails; sightings of loons, bears, foxes, minks, and more.

Please fill out the 20th Anniversary Registration Form and return it with the appropriate fee. One $50 registration fee covers the cost of attending both the special social events AND the special optional sessions. However, if you are interested in presenting a session or paper at CIWIC, your registration fee will be waived... and you'll still get the great food, fun, and friends!
