Critical Pedagogy and Ethnography

My presentation was about the totally unsexy topic of textbooks and  how, as a discipline, we abuse our students with boring,  decontextualized, and abstracted voices that strip living theory and  communication ideas down to their least interesting base levels.  In  this talk, I tried to both embody and advocate for a text of the flesh  that reawakens our students and engages them in a critically-inflected, visceral manner, recentering important ideas in their 'real world'  context(s).
